Engaging employees in internal communication: the example of the Fauché group

9/6/2021

A new medium suggested by collaborators

The Fauché group is 1800 employees to design, build and optimize electrical installations for businesses and public authorities and to ensure their maintenance. With teams spread over more than 70 sites in all regions of France, the group has a major challenge in terms of internal communication and commitment.

To answer this, the Fauché group organized an innovation day, during which employees were invited to reflect and suggest solutions around themes such as improve internal communication or boost our brand image.

It was on this occasion that a collaborator suggested the idea of installing screens to overcome the lack of visibility of information and to give all teams access to the same level of information.

Céline Fernandez, Communication Manager at Fauché.

Communication on screens animated by local teams

A working group of 5 people is formed to define the needs and objectives of the project: who communicates? what to broadcast? What editorial schedule?

More than 50 screens were then deployed in the group's agencies. The strategy is to operate in”Glocal”: the editorial line is given by the group, but local teams can take control of the screens to adapt the messages to their sites.

Three types of broadcasts are defined:

· Nationale, on all the group's screens: for institutional communications, the broadcast of videos or video testimonies, QHSE information, etc.

· Regional : for the 5 regional departments who wish to communicate on business, security, HR information...

· Locale, at the agency level: for more personalized communications about agency employees, events and ongoing projects.

In total, these are 60 employees who communicate daily on these screens, with adapted user rights.

A solution easily adopted by the group

For the users of the solution, the project is a success” specifies Céline Fernandez.

The screens offer maximum visibility to the messages. Their distribution is simple, and so is their creation. Employees use predefined templates to ensure the visual harmony of the brand and facilitate the creation of content.

Group employees appreciate this new dynamic mode of communication, which does not consume paper.
