Cenareo announces the successful installation of the “Donut” LED screen at Celio Les Halles, an extraordinary technological achievement that illustrates the company's ability to master XXL and complex display formats.
1. Precision engineering at the service of complex geometry
The installation of a circular ring of this size (7.5 meters in diameter) requires surgical management of pixel mapping. Cenareo has taken up the challenge of perfect visual continuity over 360°, by synchronizing internal and external flows despite atypical resolutions. This mastery of “pixel-perfect” ensures an immersive experience without any visual interruption, even on complex curved surfaces.
2. A synergy of partners: the expertise of AMF and Set-Up
The success of this installation is based on an ecosystem of expert partners. AMF provided the supply, assembly and hardware configuration of the “XXL Ring” screen, including the complex cabling via the Novastar H9 sender. The Set-Up integrator played a decisive role in the technical implementation and operational deployment of the device. This tripartite collaboration between the integrator, the manufacturer of LED structures and the expert in digital signage made it possible to translate complex physical chaining plans into a fluid and perfectly synchronized display surface.
3. A triple challenge successfully met
The Donut Celio project focused on three major challenges:
- A creative challenge, first, with the adaptation of content to a new circular format, in contrast to traditional rectangular standards.
- A technological challenge, then, by orchestrating the broadcast of an XXL LED screen using a single Novastar mediaplayer, optimized by the use of several virtual players.
- An integration challenge finally, with the installation of a continuously visible device, inside and outside the store, in the heart of a dense and constrained retail environment.
4. Optimized computing power via the “Virtual Player”
To control this device, Cenareo used a Novastar H9 mediaplayer to manage the donut combined with several virtual players to manage the other screens. This centralized architecture simplifies the infrastructure while maintaining sufficient processing power to simultaneously manage the XXL screen and the 9 standard screens in the store. This virtualization guarantees absolute image fluidity, which is essential for high definition video content.
5. Unwavering software resilience (Smart Monitoring)
In a demanding retail environment, Cenareo deployed advanced monitoring and stability protocols, including intelligent refresh scripts. This “embedded intelligence” makes it possible to maintain broadcasting 24/7, even for complex native web video content, limiting any risk of interruption.
6. Expertise in high performance environments
Cenareo ensured the thermal and electrical management of the computer array and coordinated in real time with Novastar's international experts. Each critical point has been secured, transforming a major technical challenge into a sustainable and future proof success.
“This project for Celio is not only a screen installation, it is a demonstration of our ability to master unusual formats. Where standard technology stops, our engineering expertise takes over to provide brands with total creative freedom.” - David Keribin, CEO of Cenareo. Beyond the technological prowess, this XXL screen is fully part of a unified content distribution strategy, designed as a lever for the retail media experience, in the same way as the other screens in the store.
