Short videos are the future of communication: 3 tips to keep it short

20/12/2017

Blaise Pascal already said, in the 17th century: “Excuse me, I didn't have time to make it short” (well... except for a few details, the exact quotation can be found here). For 2018, Facebook Encourages its advertisers to summarize their messages in order to give them more impact.

The social network is not the only one. More and more actors are looking at this point. All point out that while keeping short on video is a difficult exercise, its added value is such that it is imperative to comply with it today.

Especially since with a little training, the art of synthesis becomes a reflex.

Here are three verbatims on the subject that we found enlightening, originally published in English on the site The Inquirer :

1. “It has become essential to consider video production as a part of a strategic approach to reach a targeted audience.

It doesn't have to be expensive - there are plenty of online platforms that take care of it, and at a lower cost.

And everyone, today, has a smartphone.”

2. “Having advanced and expensive equipment can help, but it's not a differentiating factor. Understanding the creative aspects of a video above all will allow you to create content that truly engages. And if you have trouble coming up with ideas, think “partnerships” and “collaborations.”

3. “Find your niche. Break away from conventional overselling approaches. Appropriate the trends of the moment. Tell stories through your videos and build an interesting lead.”
