Can digital signage be installed anywhere?

In theory, digital signage can be deployed in any environment. DOOH (digital out of home) is particularly sensitive to meteorological factors, and especially to very high and very low temperatures. Your choice of equipment will therefore be all the more important as it will have to withstand the aforementioned factors.

03. Digital signage components

What do I need to use digital signage?

To be able to communicate with digital signage, you'll need at least one screen (OLED, LED, LCD, TV, tablet or smartphone), a media creation and management platform, a broadcast schedule, and finally, the distribution of communication campaigns. You'll probably need a Player or application to receive the signal from your content management system via an Internet connection (Ethernet, Wifi, 3G/4G).

05. Digital signage VS television

Can I use a television for digital signage?

Yes, any TV with an HDMI port can be used. Using a TV for digital signage is as simple as plugging in the player with an HDMI cable, like Cenareo's Plug and Play player. But professional screens are brighter, more robust and can operate up to 24 hours a day. A professional screen is designed to be installed in a vertical or horizontal position, and has the right fan placement to ensure it doesn't overheat...

06. Digital signage security

Are my campaigns, messages and content safe with Cenareo?

Yes, security is one of our top priorities at Cenareo. We have the highest level of security and encryption in place, including: All connections go from the reader to the server. There's no need to open your network to incoming connections. Players only connect to our servers via HTTPS and secure VPN.

Players only access our servers and cannot scan the local network. Local access to the player via the network is disabled. USB control of the player (keyboard, mouse) is disabled. Authentication is provided by HTTPS certificates. Players are isolated from each other and therefore cannot be attacked together as a group. User connections to the CMS platform are secured using HTTPS. Passwords are all hashed and salted (passwords cannot be reused to connect to other sites).
